Netflix had announced Bright 2 back in January 2018, but the production for the film is yet to begin. There are changes in the crew of the movie. That could really change many things in the film. Louis Leterrier is joining the film crew as the new director replacing David Ayer. With the new director on-board, we can hope the productions to start soon. Here are all the details about it-
Louis Leterrier Is Stepping Into David Ayer’s Shoes For Bright 2
Netflix is moving its movie Bright 2 with a new director. Louis Leterrier is stepping in the shoes of David Ayer to direct the film. The original film was one of Netflix’s high-budget franchise. Bright released back in 2017. The original film featured Will Smith and Joel Edgerton with a very odd partnership at the centre of the film.
Bright was a very successful film bagging 11 million views in the first three days of the release. Because of that, Netflix ordered another instalment with Smith and Edgerton. The movie was having a very hard time moving forward after the announcement of the sequel due to Smith’s busy schedule. Then, Evan Spiliotopoulos came in to write the script, and Ayer was supposed to direct it. However, now the roles are changed. Now, Louis Leterrier is coming in to take over. He will direct Bright 2 based on the script written by The Maze Runner trilogy writer T.S. Nowlin.
What Could Be The Story?
The Bright 2 might start where the original movie left. The creators might get deeper into the lore and magic that the original created. The original movie began with a seasoned LAPD officer Daryl Ward played by Will Smith coming in to team with the division’s first orc recruit. The recruit is played by Nick Jakoby. Soon after the film starts we get to see intense stories very quickly. There they start responding to all the disturbance at a safe house created by a magical group called Shield of light. The team puts this group in the middle of the fight with the Inferni. The Inferni is attempting to bring the dark lord back.
Over the course of all of this, Jackoby and Ward go on to protect an elf. The elf was Tikka. With that, they also have to fend their magical gang who want the powerful wand for themselves. By the end, Jackoby and Ward successfully stop the Dark Lord and even hide the wand and its whereabouts. We don’t know the exact details of the plot of Bright 2. The new director could really make alterations to the way the story for the sequel would unfold.
Bright 2: Everything Is Back On Track!
The Netflix sequel Bright 2 will return to the productions when things get back to normal. Now, everything seems to be falling in place. It looks like Netflix will have another hit coming up. Will Smith is at the peak of his stardom after Aladdin and has had a surprise Bad Boys for Life stardom at the box office. If Leterrier and Nowlin make a great pair and manage the movie, the sequel Bright 2 could be an even bigger success.
