One of the most beloved sitcom shows of The ABC, Modern Family is about to end it’s journey with Modern Family Season 11. The network announced the official renewal of the eleventh season on February 5, 2019, while the tenth season was still airing. Unfortunately, Modern Family Season 11 will be the final installment of the series.
The show debuted in 2009 and had its incredible ten years run till now. Modern Family is actually a mockumentary family sitcom created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan. The show follows the lives of Jay Pritchett and his family, living in suburban Los Angeles. Pritchett’s family includes his second wife, their son and his stepson, along with his two adult children and their husbands and children.

Though there were speculations that the tenth season would be the final one to end the series. However, the network discussed and decided to renew the show for its last eighteen-episode queue.
Modern Family has been praised as a groundbreaking stage for primetime for its portrayal of a gay couple- Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell and Eric Stonestreet as Cameron. The show also won several awards along with the hearts of its audience. The domestic comedy has won 21 Primetime Emmy Awards in total along with 6 Writers Guild of America Awards. The show witnessed a bit of audience decline in its previous run. However, it has also been consistent for being among ABC’s top five scripted series.
Cast Members Express Their Views On Modern Family Season 11
Its not just the fans, the cast of the show also seem very disheartened after hearing the news. Several stars of the show shared some emotional messages after the announcement of the eleventh season being the final one made its ground.
Nolan Gould, who feature as Luke Dunphy in the show, expressed his love for the show and the fellow crewmates. Along with him, Eric Stonestreet (play Cameron Tucker) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (play Mitchell Pritchett) bowed down their tribute for the show.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Ed O’Neil (Jay Pritchett) stated that the group is also planning to celebrate their last hurrah. According to him, they all might go on a trip to Columbia. Ed told Ellen that Sofia Vergara (plays Gloria Pritchett) is from Columbia, and it’s supposed to be very beautiful there.
What Will Happen in Modern Family Season 11?
The previous season witnessed some of the heavy-hearted pinnacles of the series yet. There was a shocking death, an unexpected pregnancy. However, the infinite amount of laughs cope up for them and again made its fans laugh recklessly.
