'Mr. Robot Season 4': Sam Esmail Talks About The Theme, Plot, Release Date
Its been two years since cyber tech Elliot has returned. The audience were in dire wait of Mr. Robot Season 4, and it seems that their wait has finally come to an end. The first look came along for the final installment, featuring the Oscar-winner Rami Malek putting on his hoody and bag-pack along with the voice in his head.
The series debuted in 2015 on USA Network and has become one of the most successful series of the network. Created by Sam Esmail, Mr. Robot stars Rami as Elliot Anderson, a cybersecurity engineer, and hacker suffering from a social anxiety disorder and clinical depression. He joins a group called fsociety, which aims to destroy all debt records by encrypting the financial data of the largest conglomerate in the world, E Corp
Trailer Out Now
The trailer for the upcoming season of Mr. Robot has been released. The clip showed the lead character, Elliot getting back to the business along with his imaginary friend, Mr. Robot, for one last time. Also, the trailer featured a chain of haunting images, all directing towards the instrumental portrayal of the famous Christmas Carol, “Silent Night.” Moreover, it seems like there’s no chill for Elliot, even at the holiday time.
Mr. Robot, who takes the image of Elliot’s father (Christian Slater), warns Elliot that if he goes down this path, it will never end. Also, What he is about to do is crossing the line, the voice stated. To that, Elliot replies that It’s a little late for that, don’t you think. The trailer also gave us the sneak peek at Darlene (Carly Chaikin), Whiterose (BD Wong), E Corp headquarters, FBI agent Dom (Grace Gummer), and psychiatrist Krista (Gloria Reuben).
Sam Esmail Discussed Christmasy Mr. Robot Season 4
Earlier this year, at Tribeca Film Festival, creator-director Sam Esmail explained the theme of the final season of Mr. Robot. According to him, the fourth season will serve as an extended Christmas special. As he stated, “Typically, how British shows wrap up series, like the British version of The Office, you tend to do a Christmas special. So, the final season of Mr. Robot is one very long Christmas special that will last about a week over Christmas of 2015.”
Mr. Robot Season 4: Plot Details
The fourth season will resume with the works of Elliot Anderson from the previous season. Before, he has scored the 5/9 Hack, that has damaged the entire economy of the country and also delved all the society in hell like situation. However later, Elliot started working on undoing the hack, as instructed by late Trenton (Sunita Mani).

As the upcoming season will serve the final installment of Mr. Robot, it will likely sum up all the opened arcs of the entire series. Also, Elliot will continue his mission of going after the top 0.01 percent of the society, who has put him into the crosshairs of Whiterose.
As per the official synopsis for Mr. Robot Season 4, the final season will delve into the pros and cons of Elliot hitting “send” on the email that could reverse 5/9 hack. What will happen with Elliot after that? The audience will find that out when the Mr. Robot Season 4 finally lands on their TV sets.

With the trailer, USA Network also revealed the premiere date for the final season of Mr. Robot. The fourth season will release on October 6, 2019, on USA Network.
