Raymond Donovan, a.k.a. Ray is almost here. With Ray Donovan Season 7 incoming, the fans of the show are desperate to know Ray’s fate. The show has been renewed for the seventh season by the end of last year. And since then, the whispers are ongoing about Ray and everything related to him.
Led by award-winning star Liev Schrieber, Ray Donovan is a crime drama series of Showtime, created by Ann Biderman. The show is about a crime fixer who tackles the payoffs and bribes to make sure that the clients are on the right side of the law. Though, this happened until his father appeared out of prison. The series focused the misadventures, and complicated journey of Ray as FBI attempts to bring down Ray and his associates.
Ray Donovan Season 7: Teaser Out Now
The first teaser for the upcoming season of Ray Donovan has released. Just like always, the teaser is filled with blood and action, featuring Liev Schreiber as Raymond ‘Ray’ Donovan. The beginning of the teaser took back the audience to the bloody finale of the sixth season. Teasing the fans, the short clip featured Jon Voight’s Mickey Donovan back behind bars. Mickey was in all hiding and running for the entire sixth season, but it seems like he finally got captured.
Also, Daryl (Pooch Hall) got a new love interest in the upcoming season along with Terry who embarks on an unconventional healing opportunity.
Ray Donovan Season 7: Cast Additions
This season, the audience will get to see some new faces along with the regular ones. As per reports, 13 Reasons Why star Josh Hamilton will join the seventh season as Kevin Sullivan, a billionaire whose shady dark operations will affect Ray’s business. Also, Kerry Condon (Better Call Saul) will feature as Molly Sullivan, Kevin’s sister and the manager of Sullivan’s family business.
The Girlfriend Experience star Louisa Krause has also joined Ray Donovan Season 7. She has taken on to the role of Liberty, an attractive healer who provides alternate medicines. She will be the one who offers Terry the aforementioned healing opportunity. Along with all these, the regular cast of the series including Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, Devon Bagby, and Graham Rogers is returning for the seventh season.
What Fans Will See In The Upcoming Season?
The forthcoming season of Ray Donovan will also see Ray making progress with his shrink Dr. Arthur Amiot (played by Alan Alda). However, he also needs to fix quite a lot for himself and his clients too. Meanwhile, Daryl’s new love interest might help him to rehabilitate his life. Also, Mickey Donovan is in prison now. Therefore, it will help Ray to deal with his life without any poking of his damaging father.
Showrunner David Hollander also teased the plot in an interview with TVLine. According to him, the seventh season will revolve around Ray’s need for a loving father and an older authority figure who thinks he’s special or cares for him.
