Riverdale Season 4 is apparently set to fill-in Fred Andrews’ emotional space in Archie’s life. The showrunners will be bringing in another character to play the role of another father-figure in the protagonist’s life. A brand-new cast member is set to play Fred’s brother. Tribute To Fred Andrews In Season Premiere
One of the most beloved characters on the show and a real gem in the industry, Luke Perry, passed away earlier this year. It broke the hearts of millions of fans and the entire Riverdale team. Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa decided to give the legendary actor a tribute and mark his departure from the series. On the premiere of Riverdale Season 4, the tribute was performed extremely respectfully, which left us all teary-eyed by the end.
As per the story on the show, Fred Andrews passed away in an accident by a hit-and-run driver in the town of Cherry Creek. In order to save his friend, Archie’s father pushed her and jumped off in front of the car. The Riverdale characters then held a rally in his honor. The episode was very emotional as Fred was close to every single viewer’s heart since the very beginning.
Ryan Robbins Cast As Frank Andrews
Creator and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa was very close to Perry and the character he played on the show. Apparently, he wants to keep the spirit of Fred Andrews alive in Riverdale Season 4 and all upcoming installments. Fred meant a lot to the plot and had major roles to play in Archie’s character arc. Hence, Aguirre-Sacasa is positive to replace the character’s place in Archie’s life with another father-figure.
As per recent reports, the talented actor Ryan Robbins is cast to play the role of Frank Andrews for future episodes of Riverdale Season 4. He is Fred’s older brother and is tough, brash, and charming. The character likes to get himself into trouble. Moreover, he joined the army to search for his identity after living in the shadows of his little brother. We all know that nobody would ever be able to replace Fred in our hearts. Although we’re pretty hopeful that Frank will fill-in his sibling’s space as Archie’s support system.

The third episode of the fiery Riverdale Season 4 is merely a few hours away. It is set to premiere today, October 23, 2019, at 8 pm. On the other hand, Episode 4 will release a week later on October 30, 2019.
