The South Side Warriors are up for another run. Yes! Showtime has renewed Shameless Season 10. Despite many rumors for Season 9 being the end, the series got a renewal for Season 10. This means that the Gallaghers are going to have more drama.
By getting renewed for Season 10, Shameless has become the longest running TV Show on Showtime. Well! The series deserves that with its unique plot. The show features real-life struggle of South Side people of America.
Renewal News Of Shameless Season 10
The renewal news came at the 2019 Winter TCA press tour. Levine, the co-president of entertainment at Showtime gave away the news. She announced that the Gallaghers are a force of nature, and they are coming back. Levine also added that Shameless, with its massive fan base, is like no other show on TV. We are happy it will live on with its unique mixture of love and crime on Showtime.
The show’s executive producer John Wells also expressed his thoughts on the renewal. He said that all of us on Shameless are thrilled that we get to tell more amazing Gallagher stories. He also thanked Showtime for their continued support. Lastly, Wells said that they couldn’t wait to get back to work with this exceptional cast.

The Big Changes In The Shameless Season 10
Well, the ninth installment of the series still has 3 episodes left. However, it is confirmed that Emmy Rossum who portrays the character of Fiona will be leaving the show.
This is going to be a very massive change in the whole storyline. Fiona has always been at the center of any drama happening with the Gallaghers. Moreover, she is also the one who gets everyone out of trouble, well, most of the time! Although, this time she is having a very rough phase in her life. This will move on to the exit of Fiona from the Gallagher drama.
With Fiona not around, everything comes down to two characters – Frank and Lip. The patriarch is, however, busy with his own exploits. Frank is going to be a father, Again!! Therefore, Lip will be dealing with his sibling’s problem along with his drinking issues.

One Gallagher Goes, Another Comes Back
Another significant change in the storyline of Shameless Season 10 is the arrival of Cameron Monaghan’s character – Ian. Well, Season 9 saw Ian going to the prison and reuniting with Mickey behind bars. However, with one Gallagher out of the equation (Fiona), Ian’s return was quite anticipated. It will be exciting to watch how Ian will maintain his condition. Ian is certainly off the meds of his bipolar disorder. The Gay Jesus thing will be pursuing him. Therefore, a lot of unfinished business is set to feature in Shameless Season 10.
Along with Cameron Monaghan, William H. Macy (Frank), Ethan Cutkosky (Carl), Jeremy Allen White (Lip), Emma Kenney (Debbie) and Christian Isaiah (Liam) will also be joining the cast for Season 10.
Premiere Date For Shameless Season 10
Shameless Season 9 has still some episodes left. Showtime has yet not revealed any premiere date for the series. However, if everything falls in place, the series will make a return for Shameless Season 10 in the mid-quarter of 2020.
