John Singleton, producers of this crime drama series along with FX network approved Snowfall Season 3 just one day before Season 2 ended on 20 September 2018. The series is based on the plague caused by Crack, a synthetic drug that has poorly affected the city’s culture.
So the story revolves around a few characters like Franklin Saint, a 19-year-old drug dealer; a Mexican wrestler Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata; and a CIA agent Teddy McDonald. The location depicting the drug scene is Los Angeles in the 1980’s. The increase in ratings since its inception have led to its renewal. A news website personnel shared the reason of the not so high scores as: “Snowfall is not a bad drama at this stage, just more generic than it should be, especially on a channel known for making old TV ideas feel brand-new”.
Snowfall Season 3: What To Expect
As we go deep into the world of drug mafia, we encounter the intricacies of the expansion of business, and the opulent lifestyle of drug lords. But with that, comes the fear. The fear of getting caught, and it increases as you go up the ladder in this industry. From Season 3, we can expect the city police will be battling to contain the cocaine wave. On the other hand, Teddy will strive for the continuation of supply as the DEA is going for the Colombian suppliers.
But, there comes a time when the situation gets out of control with losses mounting and stakes getting higher. Then, everyone realizes that the deadly force has got stronger and they start to think about the harsh repercussions of going forward with it. That might result in an all-out attack in panic mode, or also in dealing with the issue steadily.
Tribute To John Singleton :
Unfortunately, we will not have the presence of John further in any of his works. He expired on 29 April this year at the age of 51. He was suffering from a stroke. It was a disconcerting feeling for all the cast and crew in the show. They wanted to give back to John in some way or the other for his enormous contribution in his last big project. So for the finale of Snowfall Season 3, they started to re-write the script. Because they wanted to incorporate his one-year-old child Seven.
And it was not a tiny deed to pull it off. The reason behind this gesture was that John used to mention that he wants his child to feature in the show. John also used to bring him on the sets regularly. So the producers thought of it as a fitting tribute to the one who had been the backbone of the show. In pictures, we can also see John’s kid with other stars such as Damson Idris and Isaiah John between takes.
Snowfall Season 3: Release Date
The upcoming ten episodes in the third season will air on our television sets on 10 July this year on FX Network. The production released the official trailer for Snowfall Season 3 lately. The trailer shows the growth of Franklin Saint from a local drug dealer to a budding drug king-pin. All of the core cast will be returning in the upcoming series.
