Comedy Central recently flashed the green lights for South Side season 2. The Viacom-owned cable network renewed the comedy series for a 10-episode second installment. The pickup comes midway through the show’s freshman run.
Season one of the series is currently averaging a 1.02 rating. Majority of the viewers are African American P18-49 through its first five episodes. That makes it Comedy Central highest-rated new installment in the inaugural run since Key & Peele’s first season in 2012.

What To Expect From The Remainder Of The First Season?

Bashir Salahuddin recently in an interview, told that they have a lot of stories to say. That is the most important thing about the remainder of the season. The whole crew is very excited to get into them.
Salahuddin also said that they have matured and gotten smarter at how to write the show. The writers have so many ideas to share.
Moreover, everyone is very proud of the response they’ve gotten so far.
He said that the characters that the audience loved so far are most likely to stay until the end, and for the second season as well.

Furthermore, the writer said that they are very strict with the casting directors about finding great people. They were lucky enough to find great people and want to keep them in the world.
