Superman’s cousin is on her way to battle criminals in the city. The CW network was dedicated to Supergirl Season 5, as they badly wanted it to happen. Arrowverse series is proving to be good material for the fans, and Supergirl is no different. Also, a well-written script, a binding storyline, and a charming cast brought the show back to life after some inconsistency in the previous season.
Kara’s (Supergirl) parents sent Kara to Earth from the exploding Krypton. She travels in a spacecraft to look after her infant cousin Kal-El, but her rocket goes off course and gets pressed into the Phantom Zone for years. The series begins with a 24-year-old Kara, learning to grasp her powers and turning into a Supergirl.
In the previous season, Kara faced a new wave of anti-extraterrestrial bias incited by Lex Luthor. This prejudice pushed her to struggle for the civil and federal rights of aliens. Now it will be interesting to see her deal with these grave issues.
Supergirl Season 5: Melissa Benoist Teased About Production
The actress, Melissa Benoist teased the inception of Supergirl Season 5’s production. Through her Instagram post, Benoist unveiled the start of Season 5’s production in Vancouver. Her post thrilled the viewers more as it was surprising to see the filming begin earlier than expected. The viewers expected the shooting to start in July. So, the early start of production stunned everyone. Supergirl Season 5 may explore the consequences of Lex Luthor’s actions in the previous season and the growth of Leviathan. Season 4 had the purpose of setting the stage for this organization’s arrival.
All the other cast is back on set as well. David Harewood also posted a picture with Chyler Leigh, Melissa Benoist, and Jesse Rath. Melissa was donning a new hairstyle for the new season.
Supergirl Season 5: What Is On The Plate For Kara?
Kara would have to go through a lot in Season 5. Firstly, Lex Luthor revealed the secret of the identity of Supergirl to his sister, Lena, before dying. By now, many people know about her secret, but Lena was a new addition to that list. The deception she faced will surely develop conflicts between the two in the future. Also, a massive threat is coming for Supergirl. The Season 4 finale hinted on a secret organization called Leviathan. The only thing known about them is that they seem to have agents lurking in plain sight. The finale revealed that Eve was secretly working for the organization.
When Season 5 drops, Kara will have to deal with her most competent enemy. It is not a good sign for her considering the setting up of the crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths. The fans know that Supergirl did not survive it so they will be eagerly waiting for Season 5 to know about Kara’s fate.

The Supergirl will take on the new foe from 6 October this year. The fans did not have to wait for too long to witness her again. The time slot will be 9 PM on Sundays at the CW network. Batwoman fans can also rejoice as the show has the same premiere date. Fans would be hoping that everything goes well with Supergirl, but Arrowverse series is not that easy to predict.
