More spoilers suggest that the conflict between Tobias and Jefferson will escalate as the show moves towards the conclusion. Only a bunch of episodes are left in the season. So, it looks like the upcoming episodes will start laying the groundwork for the endgame of all the characters. Until now, we haven’t seen Khalil yet. So, it is possible that Painkiller might target Jennifer next. Although Jennifer’s new appearance might be a blessing in disguise that will protect her from Painkiller.

The seventh episode of Black Lightning saw Anissa and Grace as they arrived in the ultramodern and high-tech city of Akashic Valley. They were there for their honeymoon. At the club, a man drags Grace away, and we find him arguing and then fighting Painkiller over Anissa’s life. Khalil then defeats Painkiller and takes Anissa to his secret liar. Viewers then get to meet Philky and Donald.
After soul searching, Khalil goes to find Grace. He then manages to find the kidnapper and asks him about Grace’s location. He places a tracker on the kidnapper before he lets him go. Khalil arrives at the location Philky obtained with the help of the tracker. He then breaks into the building and comes across a room where there are computers linked to people’s brains. He then takes one of those devices for examination.
After decoding the data from the computers, Philky comes to know that these victim’s brains have to program to farm bitcoins. He comes to know that it was all called crypto-jacking. Khalil believes that they might be able to separate this all from Painkiller using the technology. Philky and Painkiller then gather information on Maya. Khalil then arrives at Maya’s base, and Painkiller also comes in to beat the guards. Both of them then agree to rescue Grace. Maya sets the building on the self-destruction mode.
Grace, on the other hand, wakes up and takes her Wylde, and tries to escape. Khalil had to leave the building without the technology. Later, he asks Anissa to keep Jennifer’s whereabouts protected. The episode then ends with Khalil arguing with Painkiller, who wants to kill members of the Pierce family.
