Inspired by the career and life of Joanna Coles, Cosmopolitan’s former editor-in-chief, The Bold Type, a dramedy, focuses on three best friends’ lives. It has been on air since 2017. It follows a trio of millennial women’s personal and professional lives at Scarlet Magazine. However, as the series progressed, they faced numerous challenges coping with their love life and responsibilities.
The Bold Type Season 5: When To Expect?
The trio will soon return to explore their world in a much better way than ever next month. Recently the network announced on Thursday that The Bold Type will return for the fifth and final run on Wednesday on May 26 at 10/9 c only on Freeform. It will soon drop on Amazon Prime and later on Netflix.
Freeform’s President Called It Brand-Defining Show
Freeform announced its decision to end The Bold Type with the fifth season back in January. Soon Tara Duncan, President of Freeform, called the highly-praised show the signature show of their network. Tara said it’s been fun, refreshing, and relatable to watch Jane, Kat, and Sutton relying on their friendship to handle their trouble and complexities. Tara added that The Bold Type is one of her favorite shows. She’s also proud to give the series a proper sendoff with the fifth season that the loyal fans and cast deserve. Even she’s proud of the fantastic cast and crew members.
The Bold Type Season 5: Who Will Return For The Last Run?
We just learned that the upcoming season opener will feature Queer Eye For The Straight Guy alum Carson Kressley as a guest star playing himself. Besides him, the trio will return. These include Katie Stevens as Jane Sloan, Aisha Dee as Kat Edison, and Meghann Fahy as Sutton Brady-Hunter. Stephen Conrad Moore as Oliver Grayson with Melora Hardin as Jacqueline Carlyle will also return. Further, Nikohl Boosheri will recur as Kat’s ex-girlfriend Adena El-Amin once again. However, Samuel Page’s return as Sutton’s husband Richard Hunter is still not crystal clear.
