Yes! For the beloved fans of the historical drama, Netflix recently released the full-length trailer for the upcoming season of The Crown. And the trailer brought hell a lot of mystery and tense situations. Moreover, the fans got to see all the new characters in their full form after two teasers, which released previously. The trailer also featured Prince Charles questioning his identity as “Am I listened to in this family, am I seen for who and what I am? No!” It also focused on Elizabeth struggling to maintain her household and the nation afloat using altering instances.

The Crown Season 3: Plot Details

The upcoming two seasons of The Crown will feature Queen Elizabeth’s life from 1964 till 1976. Season 3 will look through Harold Wilson’s (Jason Watkins) two periods as the Prime Minister until 1976. The audience will see the Queen growing her relationship stronger with the Prime Minister, who served as head of the British government during this period.
The Crown Season 3 will also cover the decolonization of Africa and the Caribbean, the birth of Prince Edward (March 1964), and Prince Charles’ movement into the public eye following his accession as the Prince of Wales in 1969.

Adding to that, Tobias Menzies, who will play Prince Philip in the upcoming season, revealed that the third season would also include the event of Apollo 11’s landing on Moon. Menzies told Radiotimes that the episode would feature Philip’s reaction to the unforgettable moment of history. As he stated, “Peter Morgan (Show-runner) has taken this angle that Philip gets very absorbed by the heroism of these men compared to what maybe he hasn’t done with his own life.”

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show-runner of the series, Peter Morgan revealed that the forthcoming season would focus less on Prince Philip and Queen’s relationship. However, it will focus more on the breakdown of the marriage of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon. That is because, Queen, and Prince Philip’s relationship settled down after the years of hardships that the audience has already seen in the second season.
Morgan also added that Charles and Camilla would be a central focus of the season too. He also revealed that people always assume Charles cheated on Diana with Camilla. However, the truth is, he was deeply in love with Camilla and forced to marry Diana.
