The last episode, titled “Things That Go Bump,” gave out something new and exciting for the Oak island fans. As the team was digging good near Smith’s Cove to reach to the Money Pit, they got something new. This might further lead the Lagina bothers to the treasure. While digging, they found a new wooden structure there. This structure can become another lead that’ll lead Rick and Marty Lagina closer to the 90-foot stone.

Although the audience had to see a lot of digging and bags of dirt in the previous episode. While searching for Shaft 2, the team discover a spike, which they believe could have been used to build a boat pier. Also, Rick and Marty Lagina went to the Dartmouth Heritage Museum to find that 90 feet tall stone. For that, the two literally crawled around a rhodendron bush to check out the stone at the back of the museum.
By the end, they also found tar paper, which was extensively used for construction in the 19th century. This leads the team to discover that treasure hunters built the structure of Smith’s cove.

It looks like the forthcoming episode of the treasure hunt, titled “Triptych,” will again feature the same digging with all the dirt and mud around.
