The story of the show revolves around the lives of abducted women called the ‘handmaids.’ The handmaids serve as child-bearing slaves to the rich and powerful. Moreover, it is based on a dystopian future following a second American Civil War. The series initially premiered in April 2017.

According to several eagle-eyed fans, hundreds of ‘handmaids’ were seen shooting for series in Toronto’s City Hall. Social media posts rove one after another, stating that the shoot looks ‘creepy.’ Moreover, a large number of actresses arrive in their trademark red robes. Some of them even had their faces covered in red masks.


However, it was too difficult to figure out what’s happening in the scene. Although, the lead actress Elisabeth Moss, who plays June on the show, was present in the lot of handmaids. She kneels before Commander Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) and Serena (Yvonne Strahovski). In a scene, a bunch of handmaids pull her while Moss yells a loud cry.


On the other hand, Emily, played by Alexis Bledel was also seen on the location. Speculations say that she appeared to sport a baby bump. Season 3 may explain Emily’s side of the story. In the previous season, she escapes from Gilead with June’s newborn daughter. Fans are still wondering about the contribution of all these scenes in the new season.
