When asked about the fate of the third season, executive producer Warren Littlefield stated that it would leave at quite a cliffhanger. According to him, June (Elisabeth Moss) no longer considers herself another, she may still wear the robe of a handmaid, but she’s asserting herself. Talking about the third season, Warren added that the audience will see June being less obedient to authority, being more assertive between now and the end of the season.
Not just this, he also cleared that she co-opts Commander Lawrence into her vision and her plan and that’s just starting to unfold, but it’s a snowball rolling down a mountain. I’m excited about what we’re about to present.
