The audience finally got the first look for The Magicians Season 5. Fans of the magical fantasy drama have been longing for a very long time to have their favorite characters back with some good magic. However, if you think that Q will return, that is not going to happen.
The Magicians is a magical-fantasy series of Syfy. The show is based on the namesake novel by Lev Grossman. It starts with the general plot-line: some young adults, who were quite losers, enters the school of magicians. However, things turn out pretty different and complicated when they start to learn magic. The show is famous for depicting all types of traditional fantasy stuff, which includes a strict headmaster, weird surprising quests, and love stuff too.
The Magicians Season 5: First Teaser Released
Syfy recently released the first teaser-trailer from the upcoming season of The Magicians. And the clip delved the audience back in sorrow, from the ending of the fourth season. In the teaser, the rest of the magicians are trying to mourn over the devastating loss of Quentin Coldwater. Julia, Eliot, Penny-23, Alice, Margo, Kady, Fen, and Josh, all are grieving in their own way. In the meantime, they also find time from their busy schedules to watch Avengers: Endgame as Margo declares, “It’s not over yet. We’re going to Endgame this s—t.” To that, Elliot immediately replies, “When did you have time to go see Endgame?”
The Magicians Season 5: What Will Happen?
The finale episode of the fourth season of The Magicians left the audience utterly devastated and in sorrow. The show’s main character, Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph), sacrificed his life to save his friends and restoring magic to all of existence. And it’s not like he is going to return in the upcoming season of the show. Quentin has just gone for forever, but for good.
However, we don’t know what that good is? Without Quentin, all the other magicians are just hollow body, because their combined soul has gone. On the contrary, everyone now realizes that not only had magic been restored, but to levels, that had never been seen before. Therefore, all of them would likely explore these new level in the upcoming season of The Magicians.
In April, the executive producer of the show, John McNamara, discussed the plot of the fifth season with EW. As he revealed, “The analogy that I like to use is: In season 5, there’s more magic on Earth than there was cocaine on Wall Street in the ‘80s.” He also added that it will start to cause problems as there are some infusions of necessarily too much magic, and that needs to be contended with, too much of a good thing is also a problem. Season 5 will continue the magicians’ struggle in order to deal with the changes that magic has done in some massive ways.
The Magicians Season 5: Release Date
Syfy has not released any official release date for Season 5 in the teaser, as well. However, The Magicians Season 5 is set to return in January of 2020.
