The Mandalorian Season 2: Release Date Announced!
The Mandalorian season 2 is already in productions and has started shooting already. Jon Favreau had confirmed that on 13th November 2019, using his social media even before the first episode of season 1 even premiered. And this February, Bob Iger, Disney chief announced that Mandalorian Season 2 would be available by October 2020. Here is the post that Bob Iger shared.

James Mangold And Robert Rodriguez On Board
James Mangold and Robert Rodriguez are both getting onboard for the direction of Mandalorian Season 2. Both of them will not direct the entire episodes but rather direct sequences of an episode. However, it isn’t yet clear whether they will share the same sequence or their direction will be spread over multiple episodes. Bryce Dallas is also coming back to direct an episode in Season 2.
Mangold is just out of directing Ford vs Ferrari, and it bagged a nomination of Best Picture. He is now talking to Indiana Jones 5. Rodriguez has very recently led Alita Battle Angel. Both of them have a history of liking westerns. It is the same genre The Mandalorian has taken inspiration from. If they collaborate for an episode, it could be very, very fascinating to know how this story unfolds.
What Could Happen In Mandalorian Season 2?
Just like the plot of season 1, the plot of The Mandalorian season 2 is still a secret. Not many details on that are out yet. However, the end of season 1 hinted at a few storylines. For example, Moff Giden came out of the wreckage of the TIE fighter wielding a Darksaber. Darksaber was a weapon of great significance in Star Wars. The original Darksaber was Mandalorian, So, Season 2 might help the audience understand all of that storyline. Connections between the Jedi and the Mandalorians could also be explored in Mandalorian season 2. Jedi was mentioned by the end of season 1.
The Mandalorian season 2 will undoubtedly mean more of Baby Yoda. The upcoming installment might give an insight into how Baby Yoda got his powers. We might get to know more about Yoda’s species, a piece of Star wars that have never been revealed before. Will the second season give the internet another chance to refer Baby Yoda with some other name than the child?
