The Outsider Season 2: HBO’s new horror-drama series, The Outsider, just concluded. The show has kept fans and viewers on edge with the layered story. The show was announced in June 2018 and hit the screens in January 2020. The eight-week-long series concluded on March 8, 2020. The show is created by Richard Price and follows Stephen King’s novel, The Outsider.

*Spoilers Ahead*

The story starts with the murder of Frankie Peterson, a boy found in a park brush. An eye witness, and the DNA evidence hint that it the league coach Terry Maitland did this. Detective Ralph Anderson steps in to investigate the matter, and even after knowing Terry personally, he accuses him of charges and arrests.

Later on, Ralph goes on to dig deeper into the case and finds out that Maitland wasn’t in the town when the murder occurred. However, someone kills Maitland just before the trial.  Even in his last breath, he insists on being innocent.

Ralph and Maitland’s lawyer, Howie, team up to find out the real truth. Howie hires Holly Gibney to help in the whole investigation. With her knowledge, she puts in all the pieces together. They find out a monster called El Cuco has committed all the murders. He murders and eats children and lives on the pain that he causes. By the Finale of the show, All of them find El Cuco hiding in a cave. In the battle between the good and the evil, El Cuco dies while Holly makes it out alive.

Is The Outsider Season 2 Possible?

Wikipedia calls The Outsider a miniseries, HBO has never done so. The network has always been meticulous in calling the show a drama series. And the set of ten episodes as a season. The show kept all its fans on edge the whole time. So now that it is over, here is what we know about the possibility of The Outsider season 2.

We don’t know whether or not The Outsider season 2 is possible. But, by the end of the first season, Ralph suggests, and he and Holly should work as a team again. Further, in the post-credit scene, Holly sees Jack in the mirror for a short time. That time she does not pays attention to the menacing scratch on her arm. So, after watching this post-credits scene, it looks like the showrunners might continue the story. If Holly and Ralph are coming back for season 2, it will be really interesting.
