The series is based on the movie franchise of the same name, focuses on the 12-hour duration of a substitute United States, which is governed by a dictatorial government. In that phase, any kind of crime, will that be vandalism, murder, arson, and theft is legal, and people become the victim of that night.
The Purge Season 3: Renewed Or Not?
As of now, The Purge has not received a renewal for the third season yet. Also, the second season of the show witnessed quite steep in respect of ratings and viewership. That is why there has not been any announcement for the third run of the show. Although, the viewership went up by the end of the third season, specifically for episode eight and nine. And for the records, the first season of The Purge received lower ratings from the critics and the audience. However, if the channel has faith in its show, then it will definitely renew the show for Season 3.
The Purge Season 3: Plot Details
The audience who watched both the season of The Purge has the idea that both of them were way disconnected from each other. Although they existed in the same universe, both the seasons followed the different timeline. Also, the show went on a different track, unlike the narrative structure of the flagship movies (on which the show is actually based.) Therefore, there are quite many chances that the forthcoming run will run on an entirely different route, unlike season one or two.
Despite being thrown out by Marcus (Derek Luke) to become the victim of Purge Night, Ben (Joel Allen) gets all ready and geared up for the next round of reckless slaughter. Although, Esme (Paola Nunez) is not there to watch all this, as she and Ryan (Max Martini) gets murdered by NFFA agents. In the meantime, Marcus’ son Darren (Denzel Whitaker) and Esme’s ally Vivian (Charlotte Schweiger) got together.
They are out to spread the same message by Esme and Ryan to the other communities. The two also got a good load of cash from Ryan’s friend, who donated his share of the heist money in his honour. The upcoming season will continue to the same fractions if the show gets renewed for Season 3.
The Purge Season 3: Release Date
The second season of the show just wrapped up two days ago. Therefore, the fans need to slow down, as they have to wait for its next run. Though the first season of The Purge released in September 2018, followed by its next run in October 2019.
