NBC had officially renewed The Titan Games Season 2 last year. The sports competition series is all set to hit the TV screens with its second installment. This show is hosted by none other than Dwayne Johnson, aka “The Rock.” This reality show got a positive response from the fans. There is not a wide range of good reality shows available for the fans, which are not scripted. Moreover, this series is one of the best non-scripted TV reality shows.
The Titan Games is a sports competition series by NBC. It makes its debut on the channel on 3 January 2019. A. Smith & Co. Productions in association with Universal Television produced this TV series. The show features contestants from all over America participating in an endurance-based physical and mental task for the ultimate title of Titan. NBC promoted the show with the tagline, “Titans aren’t born, They’re Made.” The show got its renewal for the second season on 16 September 2019. This series secured a 1.7 rating in adults 18-49, with a total of six million viewers in Live+Seven Day. The show raised NBC’s Thursday 8 p.m. timeslot by 19% year-over-year.
The Titan Games Season 2: Plot Details
The Executive Producer, Dwayne Johnson, designed the concept of this show. His past drunk experiences inspired him to develop the idea for this series. He is the one to create those obstacle courses for the contestants of this reality TV series.
In each episode of The Titan Games, eight contestants compete with each other in four different rounds. In the initial round, there are eleven distinct obstacle courses, with the winner having various creative titles. The titles include the name such as the Atlas Smash, Off the Rails, Cyclone, Tower Drop, and Heavy Metal. However, the extreme level of physical fitness and mental toughness is required to complete these tasks successfully.
Winners of each round perform in the final round ‘Mount Olympus.’ This is the hardest and last obstacle course of this series. It involves a seven-course task arena. In the final round, men compete against men and women against women. The last man and woman standing, win the title of the “Titan” and $100,000 each. According to some reports, The Titan Games Season 2 will introduce new sets and arenas.
Some fans compare this show with ‘The American Ninja Warrior, ‘ which is also an obstacle based course. This show only tests the physical endurance of its participants while, on the other hand, The Titan Games tests both mental and physical endurance of the participants.
Who Will Be In It?
There are no definite cast members of this reality TV series. The contestants are basically the common people who happen to be an athlete or fitness enthusiast. Other than that, The Titan Games Season 2, once again, will be hosted by its EP, Dwayne Johnson. Liam McHugh and Alex Mendez will serve as commentators for the upcoming season. Along with them, Cari Champion, who is a sports and entertainment journalist, will be a field reporter.

In an interview, Dwayne Johnson said that “When we began this show, we set out to create a completely new active competition series unlike anything is ever done before. The first season was tremendous, and our participants pushed all limits. So for the second season, we are taking it to the next level with new difficulties.”
The inaugural season of this reality TV series premiered in January 2019. The fans can expect The Titans Season 2 to hit our TV screens in the second half of 2020. However, the creators made no official announcement regarding the release date of this show.
