The Walking Dead Season 10: Norman Reedus Wrapped Up Filming For Season 10, Negan Might Kill Alpha In Future

The Walking Dead Season 10 is up for its midseason finale this week. After that, the audience has to wait for around a quarter for the return of their favorite Walking Dead characters for the second half. However, it looks like the season is ending altogether for the casts of the show, as they are packing-up on their filming for Season 10. Let’s have a look.

Norman Reedus Wrapped Up Filming

Just today only, the lead of the series, Norman Reedus (Daryl) announced a big news via his official Instagram handle. His part of filming for the tenth season of The Walking Dead has wrapped up. The photo featured his selfie with his on-screen BFF Carol (Melissa McBride).

The two of them are together since the last ten seasons and has been helping and supporting each other in any situation.

Reedus Discussing His Character In The Walking Dead Season 10

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Reedus discussed how Daryl is holding on to every situation in Season 10. As Reedus told, Daryl is such a different character this year, and it’s nice when he moves. Further, he added, “The ghosts of the people who were here before are weighing on Daryl’s shoulders. He’s a different person now. Alpha came to the door of the Hilltop, knocked, and asked for the leader. I’m visiting there, no one says anything, so I go, ‘Okay, I guess I’ll talk to her.’ That’s not Daryl from season five. Back then, Daryl would have said, ‘Whatever. Keep knocking.’ But I find myself in all these situations thinking, ‘Hershel could have done this. Rick would have done that.’ There’s a lot of that stuff this year.”

Previously, Reedus also stated that his character, Daryl, is still very much influenced by his previous mates like Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Glenn (Steven Yeun), and Maggie (Lauren Cohan). Though all of them left, somewhat, their actions and deeds are still in his mind.

Negan Will Slaughter Alpha?

As per the comics, there will be severe retribution, from Negan’s part, in the future. After being in prison for years, Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) runs away from Alexandria and seeks a spot among the Whisperers. There, he asks Alpha (Samantha Morton) to stay with them, despite being disliked by Beta (Ryan Hurst).

However, things turn to off-road when Negan stops two male Whisperers attempting to rape a female Whisperer, something that, Alpha disapproves of Negan doing. Then, she claims it as a sign of weakness that she allowed herself to be taken. The two, Negan and Alpha, then clash as he calls her a hypocrite because she permits herself to be protected while refusing to look after the vulnerable.
Looking at the strong upfront, Alpha offers him an official place among the Whisperers. However, Negan refuses to take that designation as he states, ‘Maybe. But I don’t want to be here.’ And ultimately take her head home after slitting her throat.
