Jack is the one who will face a lot in this episode. It seems she has made an impulsive decision by stabbing Countess Olivia.

The premiere episode of Van Helsing Season 5 was “Past Tense.” Vanessa and Jack are stuck in Dark Realm. They look out for everything to get out of it. On the other hand, Dracula channels out her powers in the real world.
Vanessa opens a portal and sends Jack back to medieval Transylvania. The ruler at the place is Count Dalibor, his wife Olivia, and the future Dracula. Michaela acts as Olivia’s midwife so as to make her the new host body for Dark One. Meanwhile, human Bathory leads a bunch of vampire hunters. Jack mistakenly believes Olivia to be the Dark One and stabs her. She is then put in a dungeon for the murder. Jack tries to prevent the rise of the Dark One and becomes successful in doing so. However, she herself is set to be hanged the next day.
