Westworld Season 4: HBO’s sci-fi television series Westworld is now airing the third season. Created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Roy, the show is based on a 1973 film titled Westworld. The story follows a fictional, technologically advanced amusement park that is populated by android “hosts.” Only high paying guests who want to indulge in wild fantasies within the park are allowed.
The show first premiered in October 2016. Currently, the third season of the series is airing. The seasons picks up immediately from where the second season left. Dolores has escaped the Westworld. She has also taken the cores of a few hosts along with her. That also includes Bernard’s core. She has taken residence in the Neo-L.A. in the yea 2058. She develops a relationship with Caleb and comes to know-how lower class humans, and artificial things are getting treated in the real world. In the meantime, Maeve finds herself in some other part of the park. That park is based on Fascist Italy during the time of World War II.

Westworld Season 4 Renewed?
The fourth season of Westworld is due for renewal. In an interview, Casey Bloys, HBO exec said that Westworld season 4 wouldn’t be renewed until the third season of the series premieres. Even if they order Westworld season 4, it will be long before we get to see the show. Joy and Nolan had once spoken that it takes around 18-20 months for them to put up the seasons together. They have to put the show logistically and thematically together. The third season of the show is still on the run.
What Could Happen? : The Plot
The show is still on the run for its third season. So, it is pretty tough to predict what could happen in Westworld season 4. However, the showrunners are dropping some hints. The showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy revealed that they have a rough plan on what could happen in the next installment. They had it in mind since the beginning. The war against humanity will reach a climax in the fourth season. This means more and bigger twists and turns.
Earlier in an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Nolan spoke about the themes of season three and four being almost the same. He said that he thinks that this theme is a radical shift. The most compelling thing about these characters is that they are not humans, Humans are somewhat bound by certain loops the hosts are, and in fact even smaller in some ways, he added.
In addition to that, he went on to say that- Nobody expects human characters to survive and withstand the kind of story they are telling. So, the hosts have to be of a different kind, a different version of mortality and outlook. Talking about Dolores, he said that she is laid out. There is a longer view of the setup: large set and larger goals. The story is fascinating and engaging. They span eons.
Will This Be The Last Season?
Last year, HBO’s programming chief Casey Bloys said that the deal for a potential fourth and fifth season of Westworld was on the table. Now that Game of Thrones is over; it makes sense that HBO would want to have Westworld for longer.
Although the showrunners Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan have moved to Amazon, they have even started developing their new project there. The project is called The Peripheral. In an interview with Variety, the duo revealed that they want to create one last season of the show. So, yes, the fourth season of Westworld could be the last season of series.
When Will Westworld Season 4 Release?
It takes around 18 months to create the show. If the network renews the show after the third season of the show is aired, Westworld season 4 won’t hit our screens anytime soon. However, the show might reach us around 2022.
