Showrunner Teasing Michonne and Ezekiel’s Relationship

Recently, the showrunner of mega-apocalyptic series, Angela Kang made a big revelation about The Walking Dead Season 10. She confirmed the potential romance situation between Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Ezekiel (Khary Payton). Angela also made clear that the speculations came out from the trailer of the forthcoming season were legit, and are not illusions or flashbacks or dreams.

Angela discussed this in-depth in the interview with TVLine. According to her, the characters have always had a respect for each other, and they like each other too. Their relationship will feed into the journeys they’re on this season, she added. This news came following the announcement of Danai exiting the series after this season.

So Are Carol and Daryl?

Ezekiel had already been dating Carol (Melissa McBride). But their adopted son Henry got murdered by The Whisperers. And since then, things in between the two has gotten sour. Meanwhile, the fans also wanted to see Carol and Daryl (Norman Reedus) being a thing. It seems like the show-runners took this plot-line quite seriously.

Carol and Daryl has been friends for a long time. The duo also serves as the last two left from the original Atlanta group. So, it seems quite reasonable for both of them to get along more. Angela also stated that there’s an emotional core between the two of them that will help understand the human toll of this story.

The Walking Dead Season 10: Promo Video

AMC also released a promo video for the upcoming season in the end of August. The promo was full of drama and chills with Alpha showing up on the doorstep. The clip featured the heroes one after another lining, starting from Daryl, then Michonne, Carol and Negan, who is more of an anti-hero now. Also, they seemed to be on a mission, as they tell in unison, “Together, we silence the Whisperers.”

The Walking Dead Season 10: Cast Additions

Along with the characters who survived the previous season, some new faces will come up in the upcoming season of the series. The leftovers star Kevin Carroll has joined the series as Virgil. Also, Juan Javier Cardenas, from Snowfall will feature as Dante. Meanwhile, Thora Birch will join The Whisperer’s army as Gamma, a devoted sentry of Alpha.
