The Valley season 3 is coming soon, but producers are already facing criticism. The Valley producers speak out on the backlash over Vanderpump Rules stars joining the cast, possible shakeups, and what fans can expect from Season 3. In a recent interview, the show’s producer addressed the heavy criticism. He said the crossover with Vanderpump Rules was planned to blend in smoothly.
As tensions rise on and off screen, fans wonder if The Valley is losing the spark that made it special. Rumors of a Brock Davies affair add to the chaos. While some are excited for returning favorites, others worry it’s turning into more of a spin-off than the show. Producers also hinted at significant cast changes for the upcoming third season of The Valley, including Scheana Shay’s promotion to a full-time role. Keep reading more to find out about it.

Alex Baskin, the producer of the show, teased about the upcoming Vanderpump Rules reboot. He said, “It has a lot of the hallmarks of the original but feels completely different.” Alex said his show is not losing its core concept, as it follows a close group of coworkers and friends at SUR. He said the new cast is the “2025 version,” with fresh dynamics and personalities.
Lisa Vanderpump, the queen of Vanderpump Rules, opened about the reboot as “It’s a new era with a whole new cast, but the drama is very much alive.” Alex, adding to the news, said that this time the relationships are more complicated, involving a lot of dating, hook-ups, and more. Although they haven’t announced the premiere date for season 12, Alex assured fans it’s “not too far away.”
Season 3 of The Valley might still be on the horizon, but it’s the off-screen drama that’s grabbing all the attention. With Vanderpump Rules stars Scheana Shay, Lala Kent, and Tom Schwartz joining the show, fans have been vocal. The changes haven’t thrilled everyone. In response to the growing drama, one of the show’s producers has stepped forward to address the backlash. Between whispers of Scheana Shay becoming a full-time cast member and fresh speculation about Brock Davies, it’s clear the story is far from over.

There are a lot of strong opinions out there, the producer admitted. “But that’s part of the fun with shows like this, there’s a little something for everyone,” Alex added. The producer denied rumors that someone staged the finale party to set the scene for Scheana and Brock to have a bigger role in season two. Talking about Shay, Alex expressed disappointment that she wasn’t honest with the producers and the cameras. Her revelation of Brock’s infidelity upset him.
Alex also revealed that Season 3 will take a new direction with Jax no longer in the mix. ‘I think it’s going to be different, but I don’t think different is a bad thing,’ he added. As many fans already know, Jax recently confirmed he won’t be returning for season three. He shared that he’s choosing to focus on his sobriety, especially after receiving backlash for his behavior during season two. And, even though Jax has said he might come back in the future, Alex didn’t seem too confident about that.
When asked about the filming delay, Alex explained that the show’s later air date pushed things back this time around. He also mentioned how long the previous season ran. Alex admitted that “It sometimes can be a challenge to film while the reunion is airing”. In addition, Alex praised Kristen Doute, 42, who got engaged to Luke Broderick, 33, during season two and welcomed her first child after filming ended. As for what fans can expect next, there’s a lot of dating and hooking up going on within the group. The friendships run deep; it’s messy, complicated, and honestly, a lot of fun.
