In 2025, Bravo announced that its popular show Vanderpump Rules would be doing something that it had never done in its history. The show will be going through a shakeup, i.e., a reboot to involve new cast members. Since 2013, the audience has gotten familiar with following the lives and highlights of the cast members working in places like SUR Restaurant and Lounge, Pump Restaurant, and Tom Tom Restaurant and Bar, all under Lisa.
Well, as the cast members had quite a hectic few years following the Sandoval scandal, it strained a lot of relationships. Hence, the producers found it fitting to finally introduce some new cast members and welcome a big change. Well, after this confirmation, even Lisa Vanderpump has shared two cents on what the audience can expect from the brand new Season 12!
Vanderpump Rules: Here’s How The Original Cast Responded To The Shakeup!
Host and boss lady Lisa Vanderpump has been pretty optimistic about the ‘shake up.’ This means that new cast members will be joining her popular show Vanderpump Rules. All the new staff who work in her current three restaurants will be the ones taking over Season 12. It is currently filming. She has confirmed the show will stay “dramatic and entertaining” complete with “chaos and big personalities.”
Meanwhile cast members and former couple Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz also had a lot to say about this change. The former was tried of the old cast members wanting to control their image on the show. Hence, she agreed it was time for a reboot. Meanwhile, her ex, was sad that they didn’t get one final season with all the old cast members before the reboot. While Scheana Shay was okay with joining a new reality show and moving on.
Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Shares Her Candid Thoughts About The Shakeup — “Moving At A Very Fast Pace”
Out of all the cast members, Lisa Vanderpump seems to be the only one who is excited about the reboot. She is, after all, the host of the show. While many Vanderpump Rules fans are bitter about the shakeup, saying they will miss their favorites, she has been lifting everyone’s spirits and asking them to tune in for the new season. She confirmed that the show had been filming and that things were moving at a “fast pace.”
Lisa said the new season will be very different from the previous seasons, as the “story has been told” already. She also gave an insight into the vibe at her restaurant SUR. The star cofidently said that one can film this show for 356 days if they needed to! She confirmed the ones who have worked at her place for years will be coming “with their own problems” but new cast members will also be joining them.
Then, Lisa was asked to make a ‘Sophie’s Choice’ like decision among the new cast members and the previous ones. She refused to pick any one and instead insisted that it will all be “different.” Fans could sense how many things she was keeping under wraps to increase everyone’s curiousity quotient towards Season 12. A lot is riding in this new season as it could either really go well or tank badly.
