Last night on The Golden Bachelor, Mel Owens made quite a tough decision. He had to send one contestant home, leaving two. Comparatively, this particular episode was way more emotional than others. Fans saw Mel on a different wavelength as his chemistry with the family members unravelled.

   

The top three contenders selected for this particular segment were Cindy, Debbie, and Peg. First, Owens went to Las Vegas to meet Peg’s family. Second came Denver, where he met Debbie’s family. Finally, he went to Austin to meet Cindy’s family. Above all, Cindy ended up bagging the most screen time with the Golden Bachelor.

The Golden Bachelor contestant, Debbie Siebers, had made herself quite a highlighted personality from the very beginning. But her journey with the show ended quite drastically last night. Mel ended up not choosing Debbie. In an all-exclusive interview with Glamour, she got candid about her elimination. “I felt so cheated,” she mentioned once in the conversation.

She told the interviewer how she had to face much discrimination as an unmarried woman at her age. But the fitness personality still seeks true love. Fans praised her persistence. “I think my body went into shock. I was very upset,” she answered when asked about her unexpected elimination. The show’s producers provided the contestants with therapists, which apparently helped her a lot. “But I’m okay now. I have complete clarity,” she concluded.

In The Golden Bachelor, episode 6, the segment was hometown dates. Mel Owens personally went to meet the families of the three contestants. The first stop was at Las Vegas, where he visited Peg’s family. Upon his arrival, Peg took him to her fire station. Next was meeting the family. Owens met Peg’s mom, Dorothy, her brother Guy, and her sister-in-law Brenda. He also met Peg’s daughter, Dakota, and her boyfriend. Dakota didn’t let Owens off the hook easily.

The second stop was in Denver, where Mel visited Debbie’s family. This particular hometown date was filled with emotion as many things were revealed. Debbie came clean about a very emotional phase in her life. She confided in Mel to talk about her previous relationship, where her ex committed suicide two weeks after their breakup. Then he went on to meet Debbie’s brothers, Ron and Steve, and sisters, Judy and Donna. Additionally, Debbie took him hiking at the Red Rocks.

Finally, the last stop was in Austin. The former NFL athlete went there to meet Cindy’s family. Previously, this pair also went on a one-on-one picnic date. During the visit, Cindy dropped a bombshell. She confided that she was willing to “leave this life I created.” Fans wonder if she wanted to follow Owens to be with him. The visit saw Mel meeting Cindy’s three daughters, Caroline, Sarah, and Emily. Additionally, he met the family’s son-in-law and the soon-to-be son-in-law.
