According to Beau, Josh raised this issue during a court hearing as well.

Beau further claimed that the prison officials informed Josh about his transfer out of Seagoville. He even accused the prison staff of erasing Josh’s approved contact list. Moreover, Josh’s lawyer believes that this was preventing Duggar from communicating with family members and others.

Duggar News: Josh Duggar Is Now At The Ohio Prison

Duggar News followers recently learned about Josh Duggar’s current location. He is now at Elkton Federal Correctional Institution in Lisbon, Ohio. This prison is situated roughly 90 miles southeast of Cleveland. It is a low-security federal prison, and it also has a neighboring minimum-security satellite camp. The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette recently confirmed that Josh Duggar would finally serve the rest of his prison sentence in Ohio.

Apparently, this wasn’t the first time Josh Duggar was transferred from prison. He was sent to FCI Seagoville, Texas, after his conviction in 2022. At that time, this was designated as a long-term low-security prison. However, things took a different turn when, on May 29, 2026, Josh was at the Federal Medical Center, Fort Worth. The Bureau of Prisons didn’t really reveal the reason behind this sudden transfer.

Even Josh’s lawyer, Beau, didn’t really know the reason behind this transfer. He even claimed that the last time he had contact with his client, the latter didn’t have any medical need. Hence, the disgraced celeb was in the same facility as infamous Joe Exotic for some time. However, Us Weekly then revealed that Josh was now in the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City.

Several sources then confirmed that this was a temporary transit hub for inmates awaiting permanent placement elsewhere. Josh’s future permanent designation was not out.
