On-going Rumors About Dragon Ball Super Season 2

Not long ago there was a rumor circulating about Dragon Ball Super Season 2. A report by Newsweek states that pre-production of the next set of the episodes has already started since September last year. The reason behind the early production is to avoid the problems with the animation quality of the original series run. Added, Dragon Ball Super Season 2 is set to release in July 2019.
Also, it suggests that the creator who drew the character models for the recently released Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie will be doing the same for the next season.
Later when the rumor reached the Toei Animation studio, they discarded the rumor right away. Toei Animation’s Media Representative David Syatt told that no episodes are in production right now.

In the next part, Goku and others meet with a Galactic Patrol agent that tells them the story of Moro, the Planet-eater. Ten million years ago, a villain came into space that destroys the planets and turns them into dead stars to absorb its life energy. After absorbing the energy of 320 planets, Supreme Kai exchanges the majority of his godly power and succeeds in sealing Moro’s magic. It is believed that Moro still had a considerable amount of battle ability in him.
Since then Moro is sentenced to life imprisonment after handing him over to galactic patrol. However, now he has escaped, and Galactic Patrol is on the hunt.

After hearing the story of Moro, Goku becomes excited to meet him in person. With Vegeta, they both tag along with the Galactic Patrol to find escaped Moro. After a little adventure on the way, they finally get a transmission saying that Moro’s location has been detected.

Dragon Ball Super Season 2 Release Date

For now, the plans of Dragon Ball Super Season 2 is not on the table of Toei Animation. But since a new arc has been introduced in the recent manga chapters, we can predict that the upcoming season will follow the manga. Reportedly, Toei Animation and Funimation want the subbed as well as dubbed episodes to air together. The Dragon Ball Super dubbed will end in October – November 2019. Therefore, it is safe to assume the new season could start airing in early 2020.
