In the next instalment, we will witness a new character named as Haruaki Amakusa, a Yokai Hunter that wants to track down an organization for spiritual monsters known as Hyakki. He was drawn into the Spice city after hearing about Divine Tree.
In the disadvantage of not being an esper himself, Reigen, Mob, and Serizawa also get involved in the plan of Amakusa and helps him to take down the Yokai headquarters. There they found out that the roots of Divine Tree are absorbing the defeated Yokais’. The tree is slowly devouring the spice city too.

The second season has just ended on 1st April 2019, and it would be too soon for the studio to renew the show. However with its instant success and huge fan following the Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 is expected to return in fall of 2020. However, an official announcement is yet to be made. For now, fans will be occupied with the second season of One Punch Man releasing on 9th April 2019.
