Miley Cyrus’s family has recently made headlines because of their internal feud. That started with her parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, divorcing. Shortly, the divorce created a rift in the family, with the children choosing different sides to support. However, the rift took a scandalous turn after Tish Cyrus’s wedding to Dominic Purcell.
According to the reports, Dominic dated Tish’s younger daughter, Noah Cyrus, before marrying Tish. Shockingly, Miley’s mom knew about her daughter’s relationship with Dominic before pursuing him, making it more complicated. However, the Cyrus family drama does not end here.
Recently, PEOPLE reported Miley Cyrus was unaware of the recent “drama” surrounding her sister, Noah Cyrus, mother, Tish Cyrus, and Tish’s new husband, Dominic Purcell. Upon learning this, Miley reportedly confronted her mother about it. However, the sources claim that the 31-year-old singer has no grudges against her mother and supports her. “She confronted her mom about it. She thinks it’s a strange situation, but she loves her mom and wants her to be happy,” the sources added.
On the other hand, Miley, Tish, Noah, and Purcell representatives have yet to respond to the boyfriend-stealing ordeal. However, reports say Noah was unhappy with her mom’s relationship with Dominic. For the unversed, she and Dominic shared a “friends with benefits” kind of relationship that ended before Tish and Dominic began theirs.
Surprisingly, Tish knew Purcell’s history with Noah but did not discuss it with her daughter before marrying him. The wedding between Tish and Purcell took place in August 2023 in Miley’s backyard; with Miley as the maid of honor, Noah Cyrus did not become a part of the nuptials. This event occurred several months after Noah announced her engagement to fashion designer Pinkus in June 2023.
The wedding was also followed by Billy Ray Cyrus’s filing for divorce from Tish in April 2022 after more than 28 years of marriage. The former couple shares five children: Brandi, Miley, Noah, Trace, and Braison, with Billy Ray also having a son named Christopher Cody from a previous relationship.
Separately, an insider revealed to the media that the divorce was difficult for the Cyrus children. The sources revealed that the divorce might be difficult, but it was due for a long time.
