Yes, we did know the story is far from an end. Disney’s spouses of evil entities are back for Descendants 3. It will be the next and reportedly, the final installment of the movie series. Disney Channel officially confirmed the final movie of the trilogy series.
Descendants is a musical film series of Disney Channel. Kenny Ortega will direct the third installment written by Sara Prriott and Jason McGibbon. The movie series features the teenage children of the classic Disney Universe villains Maleficent, Jafar, the Evil Queen and Cruella de Vil and their various adventures.
Descendants 3: Teaser Released
The first look of the movie released during the movie premiere of Kim Possible on February 15, 2019. The 30-second clip shows Mal (Dove Cameron), Evie (Sofia Carson), Carlos (Cameron Boyce), and Jay (Booboo Stewart) back together from the previous movies. The first look teased that the team will fight and sing together and will come face-to-face with Hades.
The full trailer for Descendants 3 recently released on April 5, 2019. The trailer gave more clues about the plot of the movie. In Descendants 3, the team will battle a sleeping spell that took over the Auradon.
New Characters In The Movie
Along with the original massive star cast, some new add-ons will also take place in the movie. Jamal Sims will play The Princess and the Frog’s villain Dr. Facilier. Jadah Marie will feature as Celia, Dr. Facilier’s daughter. American Horror Story star Cheyenne Jackson will play Hades, Hercules’ villain.
Christian Covery (Venom) and Luke Roessler (Legion) joined the movie as Squeaky and Squirmy. Both are the sons of Peter Pan’s Mr Smee. Another news surfaced about starring Mal’s father. Though, who will play the character is yet a mystery to unravel.
What Will Happen in Descendants 3?
The second part ended with Mal reuniting with Ben (Mitchell Hope). This happened after she fought an epic battle with Uma (China Anne McClain), both as a giant octopus and dragon. Mal also gave her spell book back to the Fairy Godmother (Melaine Paxson). Moreover, Dizzy (Anna Cathcart) also accepted an offer to attend Auradon Prep with the rest of the people.
The audience will see Mal uniting with her unknown dad in the third movie. The official synopsis of the movie also released. According to that, the VKs will face the most epic battle happened till date. They will return to the Isle of the Lost to recruit a new set of villainous young ones to join them at Auradon Prep.
Moreover, the trailer also featured the sleeping spell concealing all over Auradon. The spell will break only by using Hades’ ember.
The synopsis of the movie is as follows:
“When a barrier breach jeopardises the safety of Auradon during their departure off the Isle, Mal resolves to permanently close the barrier, fearing that nemeses Uma (China Anne McClain) and Hades (Cheyenne Jackson) will wreak vengeance on the kingdom.
“Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force threatens the people of Auradon, and it’s up to Mal and the VKs to save everyone in their most epic battle yet.”
When Will Descendants 3 Release?
The caption with the trailer of the final movie suggests that the movie will release in the summer of 2019. The previous Descendants movies also premiered in the end July of their respective years of release. Therefore, the audience can expect the movie premiere sometime July 2019.
