Mission Impossible is one of the most acclaimed movies of Tom Cruise and Paramount Pictures too. Filming Mission Impossible 7 and 8 back-to-back

Yes, you read it right. The filming work for the next two installments of Mission Impossible will take place back-to-back. The direction of the movies will take place under Christopher McQuarrie, who also directed the previous two MI movies. Though Cruise is also set to recur in his acclaimed sci-fi, Edge of Tomorrow, he will first finish up his in-house spy thriller, then will go for the Edge of Tomorrow sequel. Also, the pre-production work for the seventh and eighth run has already begun. McQuarrie recently shared the first sketches of the next runs on Instagram.

Mission Impossible is literally impossible without the heart of the franchise, Tom Cruise. He is set to return to work continually for the next two movies. Moreover, Rebecca Ferguson, from Mission Impossible 6 will also return, for at least the seventh installment. Adding to the cast, Hayley Atwell, known for the MCU’s Peggy Carter, has joined the franchise as the female lead for both of the movies.

Meanwhile, the regular cast members, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Jeremy Renner will also surely return for another two missions. However, their confirmation of being on-board has not been made official yet. And, rumors even swirled lately that Henry Cavill and Alec Baldwin will also return somehow, despite dying in Mission: Impossible Fallout. Moreover, after surviving the last movie, it is possible that recurring villain Solomon Lane (Sean Harris) may return as a villain against our spy, Ethan Hunt.

The details regarding Ethan Hunt’s next impossible missions did not reach to open-air yet. However, this is absolutely sure that the two future runs will include more face masks, double-crossing, and, of course, the iconic theme tune from the reboot of the ’60s TV show. In a discussion with Empire, director Christopher McQuarrie also teased that Mission Impossible 7 and 8 will swallow the last three movies whole. When asked about why filming the two big sequels altogether, McQuarrie said that he pitched the idea of making two movies, and now he has to justify why it’s two movies.
