Rush Hour 4: Tucker Says 'Yes,' Jackie Says 'No,' Possibilities Of Sequel

It’s been over a decade since the audience saw the classic duo of black and white cops. The fans are eager to hear news about the reboot of their favourite action-comedy movie. However, the news about Rush Hour 4 recently flashed when Chris Tucker posted on Instagram to wish his longtime buddy Jackie Chan a happy birthday.
Rush Hour is an action-comedy movie franchise created by Ross LaManna. The movie revolves around a pair of police detectives who always get stuck in series of troubles. The duo involves Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) from Hong Kong Police Force and James Carter (Chris Tucker) from LAPD. The first movie debuted in 1998 following another two movies in 2001 and 2007.

Chris Tucker Teased His Fans About ‘Rush Hour 4’

Chris Tucker recently posted a picture on Instagram featuring him and his partner in crime, Jackie Chan. Both were showing four fingers that eventually signaled the audience towards the fourth Rush Hour movie. However, the Instagram post had no caption with it.

Back in October 2017, Jackie himself revealed that there was a script on which he agreed on. The aim was to begin the movie work in 2018. In February 2018, Chris also confirmed his presence in the movie.

2018 left, but no further movement on the movie took place. In late January 2019, Tucker flashed another update related to the movie. According to Chris, he, Jackie Chan, and studio all wants to do the movie and they are trying to get it together. He also said that they were working on few things on the script and trying to get into production.

After the recent Instagram post by Chris, Jackie Chan’s PR team also published an official statement on behalf of him. The team denied reports about the sequel being in works. The statement follows as:
“We have noticed that false information that Mr. Chan would act in the motion pictures Rush Hour 4 and The Karate Kid 2 is spreading through multiple social media platforms, and that certain apparently infringing parties have misappropriated the personal WeChat and email accounts of Mr. Esmond Rend, a motion picture industry professional, to release false information concerning the hiring of the crew, casting, audition and other matters in connection with the pictures Rush Hour 4 and The Karate Kid 2.”
“With respect to the above information, on behalf of Mr. Chan, we hereby declare that any and all such information, as spread by such infringers, relating to Mr. Chan providing or about to provide acting services in the motion pictures Rush Hour 4 and The Karate Kid 2 is false.”
Chris’ post filled the audience with much excitement as they are expecting the next Rush Hour movie from long.
