Spider-Man 3: Everything You Need To Know About The Sequel, 2021 Release

Disney

Spider-Man 3: Another Spider-Man superhero movie as a part of Marvel Cinematic Universe came out in 2017 with Spider-Man Homecoming. And since then, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man became one of the favorites of Marvel fans. With its two stand-alone films and cameos in other Marvel movies, the character gained much more reach and new updates to his abilities (Spider-Man: Far From Home gave Spidey new suit and latest tech). And since the last incoming, Far From Home, the fans are eager to know about the next installment, Spider-Man 3.
In the previous month, news came in that Spider-Man will no longer contribute to Marvel Cinematic Universe as Sony and Marvel Studios parted ways over a deal in August. The companies couldn’t agree on a new financing deal as Disney wanted a 50/50 cut on all revenue made via Spider-Man films, instead of its previous contract. This news literally disheartened all the Marvel as well as Spider-Man fans all over the world. Lots of hashtags and saving campaigns registered online to bring back Spider-Man to MCU. However, that is not the case now.

Spider-Man 3: Sony and Disney Strikes Another Deal

After all hassle and confusion, the two giants have officially announced that they will team up again for another Spider-Man movie. Spider-Man is now up for one solo film following Spider-Man: Far From Home and an unnamed second future film. This means that Spider-Man will still be an active part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Also, the audience might see Spider-Man in other Marvel movies too.

President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, also shared his thoughts on the announcement. As he stated, “I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it.” Feige also appreciated the Webber and pointed out that he is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. Not just this, he also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes. Therefore, Sony continues to develop its own Spidey-verse; you never know what surprises the future might hold, he added.

Stars Reacting on Spider-Man’s Return

The star of the movie, Tom Holland’s reaction on the renewal was slightly different, yet amusing. He used Leonardo DiCaprio’s epic speech from The Wolf Of Wall Street to shares his joy on Spider-Man’s staying in the MCU. Hulk star Mark Ruffalo also commented on Holland’s post, which was hilarious.

Zendaya, who plays Peter Parker’s love interest, MJ (Mary Jane) also tweeted a funny GIF of Spider-Man dancing in reaction to the news.

Spider-Man 3: Release Date

The third untitled Spider-Man movie is set to release on July 16, 2021. Amy Pascal, the former head of Sony’s movie division, will serve as the producer for the third installment as well. (She also produced Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home). The audience is extremely thrilled and exhilarated to have Spider-Man on board with Marvel Cinematic Universe. Till then, stay tuned for more updates on Spider-Man 3.
