The happiness and love with small ups and downs is on its way for the fans of rom-com drama. The Kissing Booth 2 is in works, and it seems like the fans won’t need to wait much this time. Netflix announced the sequel of The Kissing Booth on February 14, 2019, and after six months, the news is flashing the production is about to get completed.
Despite receiving negative reviews from the critics, The Kissing Booth was the most successful movie in 2018 of Netflix. The audience liked the cute teenage rom-com drama. Based on the novel of the same name by Beth Reekles, the film revolves around the trio: Elle (Joey King), Noah (Jacob Elordi) and Lee (Joel Courtney). Elle starts falling for his best friend Lee’s big brother Noah. And with that, things start falling apart between the two besties.

The filming work for the sequel Kissing Booth is ongoing. However, Joel King recently confirmed that she had completed her part of filming for the sequel. The actress posted her selfie on Twitter, with the caption  “A pile of clothes, five deflated birthday balloons, a covered tattoo, a wig, and my last day as Elle Evans in South Africa. Thanks for the memories.” However, it is unclear when the entire production work will wrap up.

The Kissing Booth 2: Cast Details

The streaming giant also posted an announcement video featuring Joey King and Joel Courtney. In the video, the two are going in gangster attitude to various songs by Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott & Co. Along with the three (Joey, Joel, and Jacob), some new cast members have also joined The Kissing Booth 2. Legends of Tomorrow star Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Perez from Scandals will feature in the sequel movie. However, their characters are not revealed yet.

The Kissing Booth 2: Plot Details

The sequel will likely continue with the cliffhanging end of the first movie. And it is sure; things will change between Elle and Noah. The sequel will focus on Elle and Noah’s relationship. That is because Noah will be away for Harvard. Therefore, the audience will find out how the two will deal with their long-distance relationship?

However, the sequel novel is already out now, and from that, some possibilities came out for The Kissing Booth 2. According to that, Elle will start doubting on Noah as they are quite far from each other. She will find Noah being too friendly with a girl from college. Also, a new character, Levi, will go after Elle as Noah is not around. However, there are not many updates on Lee, and what will happen between him and Elle?
