Amy Slaton from 1000 Lb Sisters, has a deep affection for all things horror and scary. It is evident in her choice of names for her two sons. Her eldest son, Gage Deon got his name after the character from Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. Her younger son, Glenn Allen, shares his name with the son of Chucky and Tiffany from the 2004 film Seed of Chucky.
Even though Amy’s fashion sense and her love for Halloween, it’s quite clear there is nothing in this world she likes better than these things. It turns out her partner, Brian Lovvorn, understood this to the point that he ended up proposing to her in a haunted house. Apart from this, Amy even wanted to take things up a notch and have a wedding in an asylum, while her sister, Amanda, had something shocking to say about this.

Amy Slaton got engaged at Henderson Haunts during a Halloween visit with Misty and Tammy. Brian proposed in a padded room with a ring box. He first gave her a green apple ring, then a gothic silver band with skeleton hands. Amy said yes right away, calling it her dream proposal. Her sisters were also there, and they were in shock first and then quite delighted to see her sister this happy.
The couple celebrated outside, showing off the ring and wearing matching skeleton shirts. Amy joked it was the best proposal of her life. Brian said it should be her last. Hence, it showed how serious he is about their relationship. They are in hopes of having a Halloween wedding. After all every, 1000 Lb Sisters fan knows by now how much Amy likes all things scary and spooky.
1000 Lb Sisters: Amanda Laughs It Off When Amy Says She Wants An Asylum Wedding!
In a recent 1000 Lb Sisters exclusive preview, thanks to ET, Amy Slaton surprised her sister, Amanda, by suggesting something strange. She wanted the Waverly Hills Sanatorium, i.e., a former asylum known for ghost tours, as a potential wedding venue. Well, Amy said such a thing playfully and with laughter. However, she never clarified whether it was a serious idea.
Out of all the Slaton siblings, Amanda responded with her signature mix of honesty and humor. She told Amy that none of their siblings would attend if she followed through. Her reaction was respectful and candid. It looked like she was treating the moment with the levity it seemed to call for. It turns out Amy’s recent engagement to Brian has also raised questions among viewers.
Viewers never got to see their full-fledged relationship on screen. Hence, the sudden talk of wedding planning felt abrupt and lacked the narrative buildup present in previous seasons in various storylines. When compared to other seasons, Amy’s major milestones, like marriage and motherhood, had a lot of depth. However, this storyline feels rushed. Amanda’s grounded presence, however, led to a lot of perspective and balance amid the show’s unpredictable moments.
