Amy hosted her first-ever art show and even sold a few of her paintings. The 1000 Lb Sisters star was concerned no one would attend, but the turnout was overwhelmingly positive. People came in, appreciated her art, and some even bought her paintings. Some people said the art was not to their taste, but others found it very good. Chris and Brittany, Amy’s friend Lee Lee, and Brian helped her with the preparation. However, Amy’s guest-mingling skills need improvement.

Amy spoke with the attendees of her show. However, she had a negative aura in social interactions. She criticized one of her pieces and said it looked like a throw-up. In a recent clip, 1000 Lb Sisters star Amy shared a bit about her history with blindness. She stated that she went to a blind school for a week when she was a senior in high school. She learned to read Braille and cook there. Even though she cannot read Braille now, she can cook gravy blindfolded. Thats her hidden talent- cooking gravy blindfolded.

She also stated how she couldn’t make gravy “regular-folded,” meaning without being blindfolded. She laughed at her choice of words. Then, she noted that she cannot make gravy sighted but only when she is blindfolded. That’s what the school taught her, and she has retained it as muscle memory for all these years. “I couldn’t make gravy right now to save my life. But you put a blindfold on me, I’ll know how to do it,” she noted. She called it her weird thing.

Fans know that Amy is legally blind, meaning she has limited vision, but can still see to some extent. She cannot drive, but she has learnt how to do regular adult stuff around the house. Amy was also a parental figure while taking care of his morbidly obese sister, Tammy. Both have lost weight and are gaining greater independence.
