When the fans first met Tammy and Amy, they were 700 lbs and 400 lbs, respectively. The 1000 Lb Sisters also had mobility and health issues because of it. So they decided to shed the extra pounds and get in shape. And with a lot of determination and some extra help, both of them lost a lot of weight.
Now, Amy and Tammy are way slimmer. Tammy has lost around 400 lbs and qualified for bariatric surgery. However, she had to go to rehab for the weight loss. On the other hand, Amy relied on dieting, exercise, and surgery and is down to 275 lbs. Both are also more confident now and have been sharing more photos on Instagram and other social media sites.
In January 2024, Amy posted a photo carousel on Instagram, modeling her slimmer self. She was wearing a body-con red minidress with a red coat. While modeling outside in the snow, Amy also wore knee-high slouch highlight boots. She had also pulled her blue hair back and was happily posing. Fans loved the star’s confident and cheerful photos. Not to be left behind, Tammy has been posting her photos and videos for some time now.
The 1000 Lb Sisters star posted a few videos on October 31, 2023, for Halloween. She had been trying costumes that she couldn’t wear before. In one video, she wore a skeleton costume and twirled around, showing off her slimmer body. She also tried an Egyptian costume. Then there was her photo wearing jeans with a camo print top. Wearing jeans was a big milestone for Tammy. She had also posted a photo on August 25. It was a full-length mirror selfie in a public bathroom.

Fans have been with Tammy and Amy every step of their journey. They saw the 1000 Lb Sisters struggle to lose weight and even succeed. So, it was no surprise when they wrote encouraging comments in their posts. They also wished the sisters the best.
