1000-Lb Sisters: Amy And Tammy Visit Brother, Chris, For Barbeque
We know that the Slaton sisters are struggling with their weight. The problem is grave to the extent that one of them is unable to move properly. In the tease for the upcoming season, we see Amy concerned about her sibling’s health. Both of them visit their brother, Chris, for a barbeque. However, Amy is shocked to discover that Tammy is barely able to move around. Amy comments that her sister has gained weight, and this is not good for her health, as reported by Soapdirt.
Amy Expresses Concern About Her Sister’s Health
As Amy and Tammy reach Chris’ place, they make themselves comfortable. Amy hopes that her family gets into a conversation about Tammy’s health. While she sets up a plate for herself, her sister sits down at a table by herself. Further ahead, we see Amy talking about their brother Chris who has been the only male figure in the family. Tammy remarks that their Slaton family is getting ‘bigger.’
When everyone’s sitting for having their food, Chris asks his sisters why food remains the highlight of their lives. Tammy quickly responds by saying that food is the center of their existence. With that being said, Chris goes on to make a plate for Tammy as she cannot move without a walker. At this point, Amy admits that she hopes her sister grows healthier in the future.
In the trailer for the upcoming season, Tammy admits that she reached Dr. Procter’s surgery goal. However, she failed and gained more weight. The doctor has already warned her of excessive weight that would prove to be fatal. This is the high time for her to get on her feet.
Amy Is Expecting Her First Child Against Surgeon’s Advice
Apart from this, the trailer for season 1 revealed that Amy Slaton is expecting her first child with her husband, Michael. Although her surgeon asked her to wait for at least two months, she didn’t pay heed to the advice. Now that she’s waiting to welcome her first child, she’s both nervous and excited. A child would mean the world to her, Amy shared. However, she’s wary of the complications that would come by because of her weight and pregnancy.
The new season of 1000-Lb. Sisters premieres Monday, January 4 on TLC at 10 pm ET/PT.
