Tammy and Amy Slaton have had a tremendous journey on 1000 Lb Sisters. But things weren’t this way since the beginning. That’s because the former was never really interested in shedding weight and continued to relapse. But after one serious hospitalization and a medically induced coma opened her eyes. She went to rehab and lost as much as 300 Lbs.
As of now, Tammy is healthier than before and on the road to recovery. Back when she was bitter, the star also had a strained bond with her family. She took everything they did for her for granted. But the latest episode showed a vulnerable side of Tammy as she profusely apologized to her younger sister, Amy, for being a “burden.”
1000 Lb Sisters: Tammy Feels Sorry For Being A “Burden” On Her Sister Amy!
At the very beginning of 1000 Lb Sisters, Tammy Slaton was rather obnoxious and spoilt. She didn’t want to focus on getting better while her sister Amy continued to progress and qualified for surgery. But after a few seasons, she also showed tremendous progress. Tammy went to rehab, got her weight loss surgery, and even tied the knot.
The current season is showing how she came home from rehab after 14 months and 300 Lbs lighter. Apart from a change in her physique, Tammy has also had a change of heart. In a new episode from the show, she was seen getting vulnerable with her sister, Amy. The elder Slaton sibling cried as she felt sorry for being a “burden.”
Amy was quick to comfort Tammy by saying that she was never a burden to her. She, too, had tears in her eyes. The former explained how she did all those things for her sibling and was there for her because she “loved” her. She assured her elder sister that she would always be there for her. Even if Tammy ever murders someone, Amy said she would take her side.
Later, Amy joked around in the confessional. She revealed how getting involved in a murder would be a bit too much. So she told Tammy to “go to hell” as she wouldn’t lie. While there was a layer of humor in this exchange, 1000 Lb Sisters fans understood their sentiment and were glad to see the sisters open up so candidly with each other.
