Tammy Slaton triumphed over her food addiction. After multiple relapses, she finally made the impossible happen. Many 1000 Lb Sisters fans thought that it is impossible for her to survive. She had carbon dioxide poisoning and was put in a medically induced coma. But all of that is in the past as she significantly lost a lot of weight to finally qualify for weight loss surgery. After such a life-altering change, Tammy’s priorities changed, and she found love in another fellow patient, Caleb Willingham, in her rehab center.
Tammy finally broke the news of her engagement to her family members. They weren’t thrilled about it, as the couple had only been dating for three weeks before wanting to marry. On the phone with her sister, Amy, she made a strange request to her. Tammy wanted her younger sibling to plan her entire wedding. The 1000 Lb Sisters star justified this by saying she was the one who made all the necessary arrangements when Amy had to tie the knot with Michael. So, she wanted the favor to be returned.
Well, Amy tried to tell Tammy that things have changed since she had her second baby. She had been very occupied with parenting the little munchkins. While the young mother was happy to be her bridesmaid, Amy wasn’t sure about taking on the role of Maid of Honor. Tammy Slaton finally announced her engagement on 1000 Lb Sisters Season 4. She happily told the audience that their “girl was engaged”. She then took to a video call to finally reveal this to her family, i.e., sisters Amy and Amanda. Well, at first, they thought that Tammy was joking while wondering who would marry a total stranger. After all, she and Caleb had only been going out with one another for just a month. Shockingly, Tammy also revealed that they planned on tying the knot within two weeks of dating. Both Amanda and Amy looked quite uneasy with the entire situation.
Then, Amanda stated that she would definitely want to know Caleb’s last and middle name before her sister Tammy could take on his last name. Well, she was only trying to imply that she didn’t know much about her future husband. Amy mentioned in the confessional that her elder sister had always loved “hard and fast.” She mentioned being the same way but eventually “grew up”. But these episodes were in production in the past.
