90 Day Fiance: Alliya & Shawn Talk About Alliya’s Transition
Alliya and Shawn finally met after eight months of separation. It was a sweet reunion, and the couple celebrated it with dinner. They discussed many things, including Alliya’s transition from Douglas to Alliya. Shawn asked his beloved if her friends ever troubled her for being “Alliya full time.” Luckily, Alliya has some good friends, as they are adapting to her new identity.
But the 90 Day Fiance spinoff couple’s dinner tone soon changed. Shawn revealed a childhood incident about his childhood friend, Gladys. He revealed that Gladys never liked his name, so he changed it to GG when he was of legal age. But Gladys friends and family still had trouble accepting his new name “GG.” Shawn revealed he was sad at the prospect of not knowing Gladys again after he became GG. Alliya felt like Shawn was secretly hinting at his uneasiness about her transition.
So Alliya told him Gladys only changed the name, but she was changing inside and out. However, Alliya still felt “weird” about the conversation. She had assumed Shawn supported her transition as he got her the wigs. But after the conversation, Alliya thinks Shawn feels “conflicted” about her new identity. She also hopes her beau understands that she is the person he fell in love with regardless of her “gender.”
While Alliya and Shawn continued the conversation, there was still some awkwardness. Alliya insisted that she was “free” to change her body. The 90 Day Fiance spinoff star was also adamant that she was no longer Douglas but Alliya. She then talked about her belly fat transfer. But Shawn was still trying to recover from the whole conversation. It seemed difficult for him to “wrap” his “head around it.”

Alliya and Shawn discussed Alliya’s transition further. While Shawn tried to dispel the tension by joking about Alliya’s beauty, he wasn’t successful. Then, Alliya brought up her plan for a belly fat transfer. She revealed she wanted to transfer her belly fat to her butt.
The transitioning 90 Day Fiance spinoff star had childhood obesity. But she had started working out eight years ago and became fitter. However, her belly fat was stubborn. So she decided to get a “Brazilian butt.” Shawn was against it, saying, “It was unnatural.”
