TLC’s popular and controversial star Angela Deem made a life-changing decision and has no regrets. She went through five surgeries in a single day, including gastric sleeve reduction, liposuction on her back, and also a breast reduction. Now that she has lost around 100 pounds Deem feels much more confident about herself than ever before. She also feels healthy and more energetic after the extreme weight loss. In an interview with ET, she reveals another reason behind her weight loss than just getting slimmer.
Angela explains that her old body wasn’t a healthy one and wasn’t able to carry out simple everyday tasks. Hence, she wanted to feel lighter and not just slimmer. In fact, Deem thought that if she didn’t get the surgery, she’d get a heart attack. Hence, even though the surgery could be dangerous, she went ahead and got it because “it’s dangerous not getting it.” As of today, the 90 Day Fiance celeb is happy with everything that changed. However, she reveals that it wasn’t a “miracle surgery.” This means that she has to maintain a healthy lifestyle or she would gain all the weight again. Thus, Angela now avoids every food that she used to enjoy, including hamburgers and cake.

Well, a lot of 90 Day Fiance viewers already know that Michael Ilesanmi was never in support of his wife’s weight loss. Even when she finally decided to get the surgery, he was still against the decision. Well, Angela reveals that the reasons behind the same include the risky nature of the surgery. Aside from that, her husband also liked her big body and did want her to love weight. In the interview, the 55-year-old TV star called her 33-years-old husband an “a##” for being for behaving the way he did.
Aside from the fact he was against the surgery, Michael also didn’t support his wife through the journey. Angela revealed that she was alone in the process both during and after it happened. This is not just because of the distance, but due to their differences on the topic.
