Angela Deem likes to call herself the ‘Queen Of Reality’, but little does she know, 90 Day Fiance fans feel the opposite. Many of them have argued that there has been no cast member who has been as problematic as Angela on the show. They have also been shocked at TLC’s decision to continue to bring her back despite so much evidence in the show about her toxic and abusive behavior.
As of now, Angela and Michael are fighting one another in court for a legal settlement. While the former wants to annul their marriage to get Michael deported, the latter wants a divorce with spousal support. Lots of shocking things keep coming into the limelight since they went to court over their split. Angela has made some alarming confessions about Michael, and it’s obvious she has lost the battle by now.

In 2024, Angela began sharing posts about Michael Ilesanmi being missing. Soon, there was an update that the latter contacted the cops to say he willingly fled for his own safety. Since then, Angela filed for an annulment last year’s summer. She said her husband had fraudulently lured her into marrying him in hopes of securing permanent citizenship. Then, Michael also responded legally in August 2024.
In lieu of the Annulment, Michael has been seeking a divorce. He claimed that he had no intentions to abandon Angela when he fled from their Georgia home. He did so as his life was at risk because of being in an “abusive relationship” for his own “safety.” The 90 Day Fiance star has also stated that Angela had indulged in behavior that was abusive in nature, both emotionally and physically.

As mentioned above, Angela from 90 Day Fiance wanted to annul her and Michael’s marriage. But the latter’s lawyers proved in court that they had consummated their marriage as per Georgia’s laws and also had a legal wedding in Nigeria. On those grounds, she wouldn’t be able to annul it. That’s not all. Michael also claimed to have sent over $200k to Angela from 2018 to 2023, and she confessed to it.
Angela agreed that she was in Nigeria and wrecked Michael’s car. She also said she admitted to having destroyed the latter’s phone. While Michael argued she destroyed several of his phones, she agreed to do it just once. She was also in denial about keeping Michael’s phone away from him. Then podcaster Sarah Fraser had revealed Angela had tased her husband during their trip to California.
While Angela didn’t admit to this, she still admitted that she brought the taser with her to California. It happened last year.
