Instead, they renovated their existing condo and subcontracted the work.

Annie remained involved throughout the process to ensure everything proceeded on schedule. It took the team five months to complete all necessary renovations and interior work. David also joked that making so many decisions gave him a few extra grey hairs. He is glad their house is now ready. David stated that their home isn’t fancy or designed to show off. Rather, the house is designed to be safe and comfortable for the family.

Buddhist monks blessed every room of the house. In another photo, David and Annie were sitting on the floor, hands joined in prayer. Additionally, about eight monks were present during the ceremony.

David also shared how it felt watching the ceremony. He said the house is more than just walls and a roof, calling it the place where their family will grow, laugh, learn, and build memories together. He described how watching sacred markings placed above their doors felt powerful and meaningful. After five months of renovations, delays, and dust, David admitted that the ceremony made all the stress worth it and truly grounded them.
