90 Day Fiance star Emily Bieberly and Kobe Blaise have been seeking the blessing of the latter’s family in Cameroon. The former went to her partner’s native land for the first time with her family. Indeed, it was a cultural shock both for Emily and her parents. But they were ready to do everything for Kobe’s happiness. Bieberly decided to wear a traditional Cameroonian dress to impress her inlaws.

Unfortunately, things turned awkward when Blaise’s father made a weird demand. He wanted his son to remarry his wife according to their tradition. Kody’s father wanted the TLC star to seek their ancestor’s blessing through a traditional Cameroon wedding. However, it came as a shock for Emily and her family. Recently, they admitted to being pressured into the traditional ceremony.

Emily and Kobe visited Cameroon for the first time since their marriage. They took their three kids along with the former’s parents for a trip back to his home country. As per ET, Kobe broke down in tears after reuniting with his parents and 10 siblings. However, Blaise’s father shocked everyone after demanding his son and daughter-in-law remarry traditionally.

Notably, it was a matter of concern for Emily and her parents as they weren’t there to be there for long. Kody explained to his wife that his father found it hard to see her as his daughter-in-law because of not marrying the traditional way. But it was equally surprising for him as well, and I wanted to make him happy.

Emily and her parent voiced their concerns later in a confessional. Bieberly pointed to the huge amount of work and energy that took place during her previous marriage in America, as shown in 90 Day Fiance Season 9. Hence, she was unable to process how they were going to pull off the wedding in just two weeks. Kobe later explained that his wife’s parents had to prepare traditional food for the guests a day before the wedding.

Moreover, they would also get dowry from their family, which they call “knock door” in their language. Emily’s mom accepted that her son-in-law’s family wanted to follow the tradition. She continued, “ But I definitely have questions about this whole “knock door” situation.” Further, she felt that they were giving their daughter in trade for good, and nothing felt right to her.

Emily Bieberly wanted to prove to her in-laws that she was the best wife for their son. She has been doing various things to impress Kobe’s parents and become the ideal Cameroonian wife for them. The latter revealed that there would be 100 guests for the wedding. Emily’s father, David, was in deep shock after the wedding list. He said, “This sounds like it’s gonna be wild.” However, Emily wasn’t quite worried despite her partner comforting her that it would be fun.

She admitted to not knowing to be the perfect Cameroonian wife. The TLC star also had no idea about cooking the traditional food for the guests. Still, she felt that it was important to show her husband’s family that she wanted to be a part of their them.
