Initially, Memphis Smith had issues with Hamza when she couldn’t file a prenup on time. In fact, the American native seemed so stressed that she even left her man and went to a hotel for the night to think things through. However, a new promo from People reveals that the star wanted her future husband to sign a ‘postnuptial’ agreement instead. Just like the previous paperwork, it will contain the same rules only after marriage. As a result, the mother-of-2 gets Hamza’s sister, Rawia, on board with her to translate for her.
Unfortunately, the foreigner has an alarming reaction to his partner’s conditions. Apparently, Memphis refused to marry him unless he signed the said paperwork. To this, the 26-year-old reveals he doesn’t understand why his partner thinks he would divorce her. In fact, he himself had been a victim of divorce due to his parents and wouldn’t think of such a thing. Later on, the Michigan native also clarifies that this is a step she is taking to “protect” her kids and assets. However, her lover expresses frustration by saying it feels as if he is marrying a piece of paper and not his fiancee.
Eventually, his sister, Rawia also encourages Hamza not to sign the paperwork. In fact, she doesn’t want her future sister-in-law to force him under this agreement. Apparently, the American woman doesn’t understand a thing about the latter part of their conversation as they do it in their native tongue. So, will she pull out of the wedding? Eversince their relationship took a serious turn, Memphis had been hellbent on getting her love interest to sign a ‘prenup’ before their marriage. Alas, she couldn’t follow through as the date to apply for it passed. Hence, the Michigan native appeared in a worrisome state in the previous episodes. As a result, she took some time off of her relationship to think things through. Therefore, she left Hamza’s house to be by herself. Although the man tried to stop her from going multiple times, she didn’t listen.
Another shocking thing about the segment was that it happened right before the wedding celebrations were to take place. Hence, the Tunisian resident was afraid that his future wife might leave him before Hamza and Memphis tied the knot. However, nothing of that sort happened as the 34-year-old returned with a positive attitude.
