TLC network is known to provide the best of reality drama. One such source of entertainment is its show 90 Day Fiance, which has spawned a ton of seasons and spin-offs. The show is an audience favorite, and the new couples introduced every season add to the mix.
The Other Way spin-off works on the following principle. People from the US move to their ‘fiance’s’ native place to get married and settle there. Holly and Wayne are one of the couples in the show’s 6th season.
Holly moved to South Africa to be with her fiance, but it seems all is not well. She had wanted to move back to the US, but Wayne was a little reluctant. However, some latest sources indicate he might have acquiesced to Holly’s demand. So, is he really in America?
90 Day Fiance: Did Holly Bring Wayne To America?
Holly Weeks had moved from Utah to South Africa to get married to Wayne Cornish. The 44-year-old had met Cornish on a dating app for Jehovah’s Witnesses. The two got engaged in just three days. Talk about being quick off the mark!
The Utah native had shifted to Johannesburg, South Africa, to marry Wayne. She had also brought her mother for the duration of her wedding. However, after her mom left, Holly felt very lonely as she had no friends in South Africa. She had had a very active life back home, and adding in the fact that Wayne had started working for longer hours, Holly was alone.
To get rid of her boredom, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way female star ordered a mermaid tale. However, her husband disapproved of her ‘mermaid fantasy.’ The two had also had arguments about moving to the US. Wayne’s house had been robbed many times before Holly moved in.
Then there was the fact that there were power cuts in the area, and the house had an electric store of just 5 hours. And being alone there for long hours, Holly didn’t feel safe.
When Holly told Wayne her concerns, he got annoyed with her “moaning about power.” And according to him, Holly didn’t make an effort to spend time with and get to know his friends. Holly had just replied to him saying – “I’m not doing well, I am depressed. I’m sad.” Although she had married Wayne, even though he had kept his financial problems a secret, Holly now seemed to regret it.
Reaching her breaking point, Holly had asked Wayne about shifting back to the US. He had been reluctant. He didn’t want to leave his friends and family. Furthermore, a South African native was also worried that the visa wouldn’t allow him to work for a certain period of time. This made him financially dependent on her. All of this made him feel “less of a man.” Cornish really wanted his fiance to stay in Johannesburg.
The latest Instagram posts, though, provided the audience with a peek at the couple’s location. A doxxed post on Holly’s Instagram account showed the pair living in Ogden, Utah. And even a Tiktok video post by her pointed to the same thing. However, in a post comment, the American native had told a fan that she was “in America for a funeral.” So, things are still murky.
Further, there is Wayne’s Instagram user name includes “sa,” showcasing the 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way male star’s pride about being from South Africa. An October 9, 2023 post also shows him living in Johannesburg. Now, the marriage was a long-term plan, but it didn’t include staying in South Africa. So, all these are still speculations.
