The initial storyline of this unique couple was quite complicated. Jenny and Sumit met online and fell in love. However, they both lied about their ages and were shocked to know the truth when they met. At that time, Sumit was working at a call center. Later on, he left that job and joined another one, but didn’t reveal the details. But, in an interview with Cheatsheet, he revealed that he recently started working part-time as a chef in a friend’s cafe. He revealed that he barely works three to four hours in a day, so it doesn’t pay him a lot.
Now, the average salary of a full-time chef of an average cafe/restaurant in India is estimated to be around 40,000 INR for a month. Hence, Sumit might be earning even less than $500-550 a month, given that he only works part-time. However, now that he is living with Jenny, his expenses might have only increased. Well, the couple could be earning some amount from appearing on TLC. But they only film for a part of a year, which can’t be enough to pay their yearly expenses.

Before Covid-19 hit the world, Jenny has moved to India to live with her 90 Day Fiance. She left her life in the US entirely, including her Palm Springs Resort Job and family. The TLC star surely made many sacrifices since she took a 30 percent penalty on her social security benefits by taking them out early. Now that she has moved to India, she does not have a job. But she brought along her $401K for her survival that included her savings and social security money.
Fans suspect that the lifestyle Sumit and Jenny live is much better than someone with a $500/month salary can have. The couple often shows-off their social life, including going for expensive dinners, bars and vacations on Instagram. On the other hand, Sumit still has to pay his $20,000 debt to his parents that they paid to file for his divorce.
